Studio San is a San Francisco and Shanghai based architectural firm that designs high quality, contemporary buildings that respect and enhance the natural environment.
At Oakwood Street,they created strong connections to the outdoor living spaces and sculpted the building to embrace the sun.
They took advantage of large fixed patio slider panels to incorporate as much glass as possible. There was never a static window or door schedule, just an idea, because the design evolved as they became familiar with Sierra Pacific products.
They also incorporated the "store front" look with Sierra Pacific clad accessories placed over the framing - mainly between the large static patio sliders and the four-panel sliding door units. The final design also included 90-degree corners wrapped in aluminum clad.
