Sierra Pacific Windows Launches New Storm-Tested,
Impact-Rated H3 FeelSafe Windows for Zone III

New FeelSafe product line marries high tech design with PG +50/-60 zone III rating.

Red Bluff, CA (January 10, 2017) – Inspired by the recent spate of destructive storms in U.S. coastal regions, Sierra Pacific Windows has unveiled its new storm-tested, impact-rated H3 FeelSafe windows. The new line of safer, high-performance products is designed for building requirements along the U.S. eastern coastline with a DP +50/-60 to meet zone III rating.

“The H3 FeelSafe line is an entirely new solution for builders and homeowners in areas that are subject to high-impact storms such as hurricanes,” said Vice President of Business Development and Customer Service Bob Taylor. “Beyond its storm-tested strength, the design of our impact version parallels that of our non-impact line. In other words, H3 FeelSafe marries the smart high-tech design of the H3 line with the uncompromising strength of our FeelSafe impact-rated windows. It literally is the right window, at the right time, in the right market.”

Chief among H3 FeelSafe’s aesthetic features are its continuous head and sill. It’s offered with a full range of design options – such as colors, hardware finishes, SDL bars – and Standard AAMA 2604 powder coat finish with optional AAMA 2605 finish.

H3 FeelSafe casement and double hung windows features include:
  • PG +50/–60 zone III rating
  • Continuous head and sill, certified with mulls and stacks up to 3-wide and 2-high
  • Double hung size options up to 48" wide x 84" high
  • Casement size options up to 36" wide x 84" high
  • Wide selection of insulated FeelSafe impact glazing
  • Full range of design options – colors, hardware finishes, SDL bars, more
  • Standard AAMA 2604 powder coat finish with optional AAMA 2605 finish

At the core of the H3 line is Sierra Pacific’s patented Fusion TechnologyTM, which integrates extruded aluminum, vinyl, and wood into one aesthetically and structurally ideal window. This unique fusion results in improved energy efficiency and performance, noticeably enhanced aesthetics, an extreme seal, and easier installation. Its rigid nailing fin makes it one of the easiest windows to install, virtually eliminating racking problems. Its innovative snap-lock design means no unsightly screws or fasteners on its interior. Now, with the addition of FeelSafe glazing, the H3 window is even more effective at weathering storms.

“Builders no longer have to sacrifice beautiful impact-rated wood windows by stepping down to a vinyl impact-rated window price point product or increasing the budget to accommodate a zone IV prepared window.” added Taylor.
